Every family holiday begins with a conversation. Sometimes, it is the parents who choose the destination. And sometimes, the daughters have a place in mind and the rest of the family happily follows.

For this family of four, the choice was Thailand. What followed was a seven-night journey through three very different destinations, bringing together tropical islands, cultural discoveries, beautiful stays and plenty of opportunities to experience the country together.

Three destinations, three different experiences

Phuket: Where the journey began

The journey began in Phuket, where tropical landscapes and the promise of island adventures set the tone for the days ahead.

A visit to the Phi Phi Islands brought the family closer to Thailand's celebrated coastal scenery, with turquoise waters and dramatic island landscapes. They also explored Phuket through a city tour, discovering a little more of the destination beyond its beaches.

It was a lovely introduction to Thailand, combining the excitement of island exploration with time to settle into the holiday.

Krabi: A change of pace

From Phuket, the family continued to Krabi, where lush greenery, striking landscapes and a slower coastal atmosphere offered a different side of Thailand.

The change of scenery brought a more relaxed pace to the journey. Surrounded by tropical landscapes and beautiful resort settings, Krabi offered time to unwind between the more activity-filled days.

Bangkok: Culture, colour and character

The final leg of the journey brought the family to Bangkok, where Thailand's cultural heritage took centre stage.

From the grandeur of the Ancient City to the intricate architecture and golden statues at its temples, the city offered plenty to discover. The visit to the Golden Buddha was another opportunity to experience the country's rich artistic and spiritual traditions.

An evening dinner cruise along the Chao Phraya River added a different perspective to Bangkok, with the city's sights and atmosphere unfolding along the river.

A journey designed around the people travelling

Travelling across three destinations in seven nights involves more than simply getting from one place to another. Accommodation, airport transfers, sightseeing and intercity connections all need to come together smoothly.

At Small World Tours, our focus was on bringing these elements together so the family could concentrate on enjoying their time in Thailand.

We believe thoughtful travel planning is often about the details that travellers don't have to think about. When the arrangements come together, there is more room for the experiences that make a holiday memorable.

In their words

"Thailand was a destination our daughters had been keen to explore, and we're so glad we decided to experience it together as a family. From the beautiful islands of Phuket to the relaxed surroundings of Krabi and the cultural sights of Bangkok, every destination offered something different. It was wonderful to discover so many new places and experiences together."

"We particularly appreciated how smoothly the trip was organised. The hotel stays, transfers and sightseeing arrangements made travelling between destinations comfortable and convenient. It allowed us to enjoy the holiday without constantly worrying about the logistics. Thank you to the entire Small World Tours team for helping us put together such a memorable family holiday."

Every family has a story to travel.

Sometimes, all it takes is one destination suggestion to bring everyone together for an adventure.

For this family, it was Thailand. Seven nights, three destinations and a collection of experiences that made the journey their own.

At Small World Tours, we believe the best journeys begin with the people taking them.

Your story could be next.
